Opinions and trust of a new leader, as far up as C-Suite executives, develop quickly. It becomes crucial to recognize that leaders in new roles have a short time to win or lose in their new positions.
Research shows it’s not uncommon for nearly 50% of new leaders to have not met expectations 18 months after promotion or transition. Leaders transitioning to new roles require expanded leadership skills to be successful. Strong execution in crucial areas is paramount for building trust among subordinates, bosses, the board, and other essential stakeholders.
The goal is to help leaders become successful in their new roles. Vance has successfully developed and successfully coached leaders as they move through their transition to the director and executive levels. In addition, Vance specializes in Military to Civilian Career transitions as well as those considering other life transitions such as retirement.
These coaching sessions require a time commitment of approximately 20-40 hours of support over six-twelve months. Meetings will occur biweekly for the first three months of coaching and then monthly for the remainder of the program. Support will be provided between sessions as needed.
